UX Client Project: Milieu Insight Survey Mobile Application

WHAT (The Client and Product)
Milieu Insight is a market research firm that empowers businesses and organizations with knowledge about consumer attitudes and behaviors so they can make better decisions, faster. Their approach to and solutions for consumer research are unique. Through smart automation, best-in-class technology, a core focus on user experience. They collect and deliver consumer insight like no others with disruptive speed. Opinions shared by their community of users are synthesized through their proprietary algorithms, allowing a deep understanding of personal drives and social motivations, as well as their consumption habits.
WHY (The Opportunity)
Milieu wishes to explore and enhance the survey-taking experience for its users by collaborating with our UX team. We were briefed on the business needs and design considerations to introduce gamification, as a form of user retention element and an added feature to the existing well-received reward system.
HOW (The UX Process)
A design sprint of three weeks involving design thinking and lean ux processes. We conducted in-depth user research, contextual inquiry, SUS scale test, design studio ideation, paper wire-framing, mid-fi to hi-fi prototyping, usability testing. Every process and steps were carefully presented to the management team via multiple developmental milestones and were concluded with demo presentations.
OUTCOME (Ideation & Solution)
The new features were presented as a Hi-Fi prototype. It was very well-received on the presentation day. The outcomes provided by them is that our delivery had far exceeded their expectations. They would be incorporating some of our proposals into their next few product releases. Our UX team were not only able to include gamification features, but we had also taken a high-level end-to-end approach to enhance all the existing user interfaces and key features with insights from our qualitative and quantitative research, we also relentlessly plan and engage our targeted users to validate all our design features with our hi-fi prototypes.

THE EXPERIENCE (Lessons & Takeaways)
This project had allowed our team to employ effective UX processes and conducted different forms of quantitative and qualitative researches, where we hunted hard to source for survey taking users in their natural environments during our guerilla interviews. The data were the key factors driving the project and design direction. The team chemistry was great and everyone gladly wore different hats and played by our varied professional strengths. We had thoroughly enjoyed the entire process and our teamwork.
